After Trump Arrest Announcement Breaks – Brand New House Weaponization Team Moves Against Biden

Sharing is caring!

It didn’t take long for the political world to react to the news that Donald Trump might be arrested this week.

The former POTUS is accused of making hush money payments to former pornstar Stormy Daniels, though Trump maintains it’s nothing but another political witch hunt.

And as for the House Republicans, they’re planning a different reaction — they’re doubling down on the Biden administration.

The GOP has been targeting Biden’s family for months now, and they’re starting to make progress on their internal investigations involving Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.

And now, they’re responding to the possible Trump indictment by pushing forward at an even faster clip.

The Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is expected to move in two strong directions (via Washington Examiner):

The GOP-led House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government is set to ramp up investigations into President Joe Biden’s family and the use of federal funds by Manhattan’s Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The Hunter Biden investigation is now in its fifth year, and last week we learned that yet another Biden family member is allegedly involved in foreign money dealings.

Rep. Jordan has said numerous times in 2023 that House Republicans will continue to push against the Biden administration, as more subpoenas and reports are expected to arrive shortly.

As for the Trump issue, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said the party will also look into the use of federal funds by Democratic New York DA Alvin Bragg.

The former President has called the Manhattan District Attorney’s office “corrupt and highly political,” and other critics also say this is more about politics than justice.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) went so far as to call the potential arrest of Trump “one of the worst uses o the justice system we’ve ever seen” and it’s “flat-out wrong.”

So now, it looks like the House GOP has a couple clear goals, and one of them includes pushing harder to expose the Biden administration.

Recently, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) revealed that more evidence has been turned up, which apparently implicates multiple members of the Biden family and their ties to China.

As they hold the majority in the House, it’s no surprise that Republicans plan to flex their muscle in response to the Trump bombshell.

Key Takeaways:

  • The House GOP has revealed their response plan to the Trump arrest announcement.
  • Republicans intend to ramp up current investigations into the Biden family, and they want to probe the use of federal funds by NY DA Alvin Bragg.
  • Recently, the House Oversight Committee teased more evidence to use against Biden’s family.
