After Biden Plans to Sell More U.S. Oil Reserves – Joe Gets Accused by GOP of a ‘Ploy to Buy’ Midterm Votes
What’s Happening:
Biden vowed to shut down our fossil fuel industry during the 2020 Election. But clearly, Americans were not on board–as gas prices skyrocketed.
His solution has not been to lease more land for drilling. Instead, he is once again depleting our strategic reserves, to lower gas by a fraction of a percent.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Petroleum Reserves today announced a Notice of Sale of up to 10 million barrels of crude oil to be delivered from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in November 2022.
Of course, they announce this as multiple states are getting hammered by Hurricane Ian. Not great timing, Joe.
And one top Republican is blasting Biden’s decision.

Kudlow,” Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) stated that the Biden administration’s plan to sell up to 10 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in November is just a ploy to buy votes using something that’s supposed to be for emergencies, and that replenishing the reserve will probably have to be done at a high price.
Isn’t it convenient that Biden is not releasing this oil right now, with prices going up? But he’ll be doing it the very month Americans will be going to the polls?
You don’t have to be a political strategist to know what he’s trying to do.
Right now, that oil should be put to use in the response to Hurricane Ian. That is what an emergency strategic reserve is for.
Instead, Biden is depleting these vital reserves, to artificially lower gas prices. This in no way will fix the problem.
Because, when he’s done depleting our reserves, gas prices will go back up. We know this because Biden continues to deny leases for drilling.
In fact, gas prices will go up faster, because Biden will be forced to buy back the oil he depleted.
If he bothers to replenish the reserve at all. We know he is trying to force America to use “alternative” fuels.
This could be part of a larger plan to get rid of all our oil, so we have no choice.
But, does this plan make any sense at all? Only if you’re a desperate Democrat hoping to trick voters into thinking you’re fixing the problem.
Sadly, this scheme might work on some people. They will see prices go down (at most by a few cents) and think things are getting better.
And the liberal media will hype it up, claiming Biden is helping Americans.
Hopefully, enough voters won’t be fooled.
