Hollywood Star Bette Midler Wants Tucker Carlson Arrested And Charged With Sedition

Sharing is caring!

Hollywood star Bette Midler hit a new low when she called for Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich to be arrested, clapped in irons, and tossed in jail.

Midler also is demanding Rupert Murdoch, the Australian-born owner of Fox News, have his American citizenship revoked.

Bette said: “Tucker Carlson should be arrested and tried for sedition and fomenting insurrection. #Murdoch should have his citizenship revoked, the damage he continues to do to our democracy will soon become irreparable. #NewtGingrich should be clapped in irons for getting him past the #FCC.”

She attacked Murdoch Saturday as well saying:

“Sadly, this list leaves off the most vicious, the ugliest, the most hate-filled owner of all, Rupert Murdoch, Tucker Carlson’s master, who has ruined political discourse all around the world.

“‘Own the press & 1/2 the work of. dictatorship is done.’”

Midler is probably jealous because Fox News has been crushing the competition while CNN and MSNBC have seen flop after flop.

“The Five” continued to dominate cable ratings finishing April as the most-watched show on cable news with 3.5 million viewers per night. The discussion program has now topped cable news in four of the past five months despite not airing in primetime.

Fox News averaged 1.5 million total viewers to finish as the only network to surpass the one-million viewer mark. No. 2 MSNBC averaged only 668,000 viewers. But the most terrifying stat for CNN and MSNBC was that the top 12 shows in cable news were all on Fox News.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” averaged 3.4 million to finish second, followed by “Jesse Watters Primetime,” “Hannity,” Special Report with Bret Baier,” “The Ingraham Angle,” Gutfeld!,” “Outnumbered,” “America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino,” “The Faulkner Focus,” “Your World with Neil Cavuto” and “The Story with Martha MacCallum.”

In fact, Fox News had 66 of the top 100 cable telecasts of the month.

The most-watched cable news program not on Fox News was MSNBC”s “The Rachel Maddow Show which finished No. 13. Ouch.

And Sean Hannity broke a record held by Larry King.

Hannity is now the longest-running primetime cable news host in television history. April 21st marked 25 consecutive years, six months, and 15 days at the helm of a primetime cable news program, breaking the previous longstanding record held by the late talk show host Larry King.
