Kat Timpf Tells Joy Behar And The View To Pound Sand, Turns Down offer To Join The View Because They Treat Conservatives Poorly

Kat Timpf of Fox News told Joy Behar and the ladies on The View to pound sand and turned down an offer to join the ABC TV show as the ‘conservative’ on the panel. The View has been looking for a conservative to replace the late John McCain’s daughter Meghan but is having a hard time finding someone who likes Trump but not too much.

“Right now, we still do need a real conservative voice,” Co-host Sunny Hostin said in November. “And we need someone that’s not duplicative of anyone else on the panel.”

The big issue ‘The View’ is having according to one of the rotating conservative guest hosts is, “the problem is that they bring people on under the mantle that this woman is a conservative, when they’re ‘Never Trump,’ so they don’t represent the country.”

“They are really looking for a unicorn,” said a former staff member of the show. “They want someone who is going to fight, but not too hard, because they don’t want it to be ugly and bickering.”

Enter Kat Timpf, a rising star at Fox News and someone who could easily mix it up and win against the liberal co-hosts. But she turned them down according to the report because of the show’s “reputation for treating conservatives poorly”

From Politico:

Sources said that the show was eager to recruit young libertarian KAT TIMPF, but she turned them down because of the show’s reputation for treating conservatives poorly and her contract with Fox. Timpf declined to comment to Playbook.

Others have said that the show has a responsibility to fill the conservative chair with a strong Republican co-host ahead of the midterms if they are going to be a credible political talk show.

“Our plans are on track as we continue to look for the right person to join our panel of smart, dynamic women,” said a “View” spokesperson. “We look forward to welcoming guest co-hosts for return appearances and introducing new names into the mix in the new year.”
