Dad Who Pranked Joe Biden Breaks Silence, Tells Dems To Pound Sand: “It was an innocent jest, I stand 100% behind what I did and what I said”

The dad from Oregon who pranked Joe Biden into saying “Let’s go, Brandon” broke his silence to his local paper. Jared Schmeck, 35, a former Medford police officer who works for an electrical contractor told The Oregonian that it was a joke and he stands behind what he did.

He also said he is getting threats for his prank: “And now I am being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech.” Schmeck said his family calls into the NORAD Santa tracker every Christmas Eve and he was not aware it would be live streamed.

“I thought it would be automated. We just waited on hold and then they answered,” he said. “And I thought, ‘wow, this is real.’ At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden, but I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job. I meant no disrespect to him.

He continued: “I understand there is a vulgar meaning to ‘Lets go Brandon,’ but I’m not that simple minded, no matter how I feel about him. He seems likes he’s a cordial guy. 

“There’s no animosity or anything like that. 

“It was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner. I love him just like I love any other brother or sister.

“And now I am being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech.”

Schmeck will not cave and said he “stood 100% behind what I did and what I said.”

“I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas as well,” Schmeck told Biden before he made his joke, “Merry Christmas and Let’s Go Brandon!”

Jill Biden seemed to realize what was going on but Joe seemed unaware saying:

“Let’s Go Brandon, I agree. By the way are you in Oregon? Where’s your home? I think we lost him.”

Schmeck said he did not hang up on Biden but was disconnected. Instead of attacking the guy for making a joke maybe we should ask how is it possible Jared was able to get through to Biden in the first place.

If Biden’s staff is so incompetent they can’t even screen Joe’s calls to avoid embarrassing the guy, that is not a good sign because Biden relies on them more than many of his predecessors.
