An Illinois Democrat official who seemed to say the Christmas parade crash in Waukesha, Wisconsin, yesterday was a form of karma for the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse has resigned in disgrace.
Mary Lemanski was the social media director of the Democratic Party of DuPage County. She resigned Monday morning when her comments caused a major backlash. Some of the posts have been deleted while others are still up. One said: “It was probably just self-defense,” with the hashtags “Wisconsin” and “KyleRittenhouse.”
Some of the other posts were: “Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened, I’m sure he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He came to help people.”
“The blood of Kyle Rittenhouse’s victims is on the hands of Wisconsin citizens even the children.”
“I’m sad. I’m sad anytime anyone dies. I just believe in Karma and this came around quick on the citizens of Wisconsin.”
“You reap what you sow, Wisconsin.”
“It’s sad people died, but when you open the door to vigilante justice, everyone seems threatening.”
Before she resigned in disgrace but knew the game was up she posted:
“I’m going to Hell because I already made a deal with the Devil that nobody else on Earth will go to Hell if I go. So, you’re welcome.”
“Nobody cared about me like my whole life. My mom used to leave me for hours at a time alone in my playpen.
“I’ve put out music for 20 years nobody gave a shit. Why do people all of a sudden care about a stupid remark? I can’t believe my 15 minutes of fame is for this shit.”
