AOC Seems To Admit She Interrupted Kevin McCarthy’s Big House Speech Last Night

Sharing is caring!

The media is calling out Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accusing her of interrupting Kevin McCarthy’s floor speech that started last night and went well into the morning.

“Just a few weeks ago, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger said, ‘Nobody elected Joe Biden to be FDR,’” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said.

In the video below a female voice can shouting out, “I did.” Haley Talbott, Capitol Hill producer and reporter with NBC News and MSNBC, identified the female voice as AOC.

MSNBC reporter Kyle Griffin posted on Twitter. “Earlier during his floor speech, Republican Kevin McCarthy said: “Abigail Spanbgerger said nobody elected Biden to be FDR.”

From the back, Rep.  @AOC  yelled, “I did.”

AOC retweeted Kyle giving the game.

NBC News National Political Reporter Sahil Kapur retweeted Talbot and included a video of the incident. AOC retweeted Kapur as well.

From BI:

The $1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act is a social spending bill that includes funds for universal preschool, child tax credits, and the expansion of Medicare, among other items.

Senate Democrats plan to use reconciliation to pass the bill, which means it could pass without the support of any Republicans.

McCarthy’s speech on Thursday night delayed the vote on the bill in the House. If it passes, the bill will head to the Senate for a vote, where it could still fail if any moderate Democrat votes against it.
