Trump Just Landed A Major Court Decision – In NY Case Against Donald’s Businesses, He “Won’t Be Charged”

Sharing is caring!

Since Donald Trump left the White House, he has remained in the public eye. He has remained vocal in the political sphere, often going after the current Biden administration.

Trump has also been in the news for other reasons: for instance, an investigation into his businesses. One is a high-profile criminal investigation that could’ve been big trouble for the former President.

But as of now, Donald is in the clear.

In May, New York Attorney General Letitia James teamed up with Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance to press charges against the Trump Organization.

Specifically, they accused them of “hush money” payments and possibly “altering property values.” At the time, James said the investigation had moved to a “criminal capacity.”

This would mean that Trump himself could be charged with a variety of crimes, which of course would’ve been very bad news for the former Commander-in-Chief.

However, it looks like Donald has nothing to worry about — his attorney, Ronald Fischetti, spoke to Vance about the pending charges, and apparently learned that none were coming.

Via The Daily Wire:

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance is not planning on pressing charges against former President Donald Trump or his business over alleged ‘hush money’ payments or allegedly altering property values, according to a lawyer for the former president.

Fischetti tells Politico that when he met with Vance, the DA denied building a case for any charges outside of the businesses.

It seems they’re still going after the Trump Organization for failing to pay taxes on corporate benefits, but as far as Trump is concerned, there are no criminal charges in the works.

Fischetti explained the meeting as follows:

“We asked, ‘Is there anything else?’ They said, ‘No.’”

“It’s crazy that that’s all they had,” he added.

Vance clarified that the investigation is “ongoing” but when the first indictment comes down, Trump “won’t be charged.”

Charges will be leveled against the Trump Organization. However, Fischetti says the charges should be “far less severe” than the initial criminal conduct accusations. And that’s good news for everyone involved.

Fischetti compared the entire case to the Shakespeare play, “Much Ado About Nothing.”

In fact, he said: “This is so small that I can’t believe I’m going to have to try a case like this.

When Trump was President, he often complained about “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” from both civilians and politicians. This also included the media and corporate America as well.

Now that Trump is out of office, you might think the “get Trump” mantra would die down.

But it seems like everyone still wants a piece of Donald — and if they can’t get him on personal charges, they’ll keep going after his businesses. It must be tiring from Trump’s point of view.

At least in this case, however, he doesn’t have to worry about any charges being filed against him personally.

Key Takeaways:

  • Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance reveals Donald Trump won’t be personally charged in an ongoing investigation.
  • The investigation will only go after the Trump Organization for allegedly not paying taxes on corporate tax benefits.
  • Trump attorney Ronald Fischetti says the charges overall are much less serious now.
