Former Vice President Mike Pence broke his silence on the current administration and let President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have it. Pence explained how Biden unleashed the worst border crisis in history on day one by reversing Trump’s successful policies.
Pence called out their failures before denouncing them saying: “The Biden-Harris administration is failing the American people at our southern border, failing on our economy.
Pence said: “You know, well, that’s an old mantra of back in the days of the Obama-Biden Administration was that the problem of illegal immigration was driven by root causes. I really wasn’t that surprised when she skipped over the border and started to talk about root causes.
“Look, she’s down in Honduras. The new president, she’s a socialist, but you know, frankly, Jesse, I’m more concerned about the social issues associated with here in Washington D.C. than I am in the Northern Triangle.
“The reality is, this administration unleashed the worst border crisis in American history because, on day one, President Biden undid the policies that President Trump put into effect that reduce illegal immigration by 90% that ‘Remain in Mexico policy.
“As you know, Jesse it was working. We built hundreds of miles of border wall.
“This administration stopped construction on the wall. They have left massive gaps in the wall.
But, really, by undoing the policies and focusing on economic development in Central America is a prescription for more of what we saw last year.
“Two million illegal immigrants coming across our border. December was the highest month in history.
“The Biden-Harris administration is failing the American people at our southern border, failing on our economy. And, frankly, failing the country at home and abroad,” he said.

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke repeatedly about battling the “root causes” of record-breaking illegal immigration during a Thursday trip to Honduras — but Harris said that her efforts are unlikely to alleviate the US-Mexico border crisis “overnight.”
Harris made a point of mentioning migration after critics chided her for not focusing more on the issue since President Biden appointed her last year to lead his administration’s outreach to Mexico and Central America.
The number of illegal border-crossing arrests surged since Harris took on the role. In fiscal 2021, which ended in September, there were more than 1.7 million arrests at the border — the most since at least 1986.
“The root causes strategy has always been clear and we have been clear. The work we need to do is going to be work that will manifest over a long period of time. Hopefully not too long, but certainly not overnight,” Harris told reporters during the trip to attend Honduran President Xiomara Castro’s inauguration.
“The problems that we need to address are problems that did not occur overnight and the solutions if they’re going to have any impact will not occur overnight.”
