Two Women Plead Guilty To Hate Crime For Attacking Trump Supporters Outside Biden’s DNC Speech
Two women who stole a “Make America Great Again” hat from a President Trump supporter at the Democratic National Convention have pleaded guilty to hate crimes. The incident went viral because one of the Trump supporters was a child.
Olivia Winslow and Camryn Amy also pleaded guilty to child endangerment and theft after being caught on video destroying Trump signs and stealing a red MAGA hat outside the DNC as Joe Biden gave his acceptance speech.
“Are you destroying my property?” a woman asks in the video as Winslow and Amy tear up her Trump signs. The pair then turn their attention to a MAGA hat on the ground, the footage shows. “Get it, Liv, get it,” Amy tells Winslow.
The woman’s son protests, saying “That’s somebody else’s hat!” as the women walk away

Olivia Winslow and Camryn Amy, both of Wilmington, will be sentenced for those charges in September. Plea paperwork in court records indicate that prosecutors will not seek prison time.
Other charges including assault, attempted assault and conspiracy were dropped by prosecutors as part of the plea deal struck Monday.
Prosecutors said the plea was offered with the “approval of the victims” and declined further comment Tuesday.
Attorneys representing the women said they agree that probation is the “appropriate sentence” and declined further comment.
…Later in the video, a man attempting to get the hat back appears to be punched by the second suspect, who later throws the hat over a fence.
Video of the confrontation, posted on Twitter by Students for Trump, has been viewed millions of times and was shared by Trump’s son Donald Jr.
