Trump Outshines Biden, Issues Strong Statement On Cuba Reminding Joe Of Stakes: “Joe Biden Must stand up to the Communist regime or history will remember”
Former President Donald Trump issued a statement of support for the Cuban people and completely outshined Joe Biden’s weak statement. Trump said: “Big demonstrations are breaking out in Cuba and Miami in protest of the Communist Cuban Government (although today there are zero protesters in Cuba—you know what that means!).
“Don’t forget that Biden and the Democrats campaigned on reversing my very tough stance on Cuba. Remember when Obama attended baseball games with Castros while they imprisoned, beat, and killed the Cuban people.
“I stand with the Cuban people 100% in their fight for freedom. The Government must let them speak and be free! Joe Biden MUST stand up to the Communist regime or—history will remember. The Cuban people deserve freedom and human rights! THEY ARE NOT AFRAID!”
Compare Trump’s statement to the weak one Joe Biden made where he tried to blame some of the protests on the pandemic.
Biden said:
“We stand with the Cuban people and their clarion call for freedom and relief from the tragic grip of the pandemic and from the decades of repression and economic suffering to which they have been subjected by Cuba’s authoritarian regime.
“The Cuban people are bravely asserting fundamental and universal rights.
“Those rights, including the right of peaceful protest and the right to freely determine their own future, must be respected.
“The United States calls on the Cuban regime to hear their people and serve their needs at this vital moment rather than enriching themselves.”
From Reuters:
Cuba blamed historic protests that took place over the weekend on U.S. “economic asphyxiation” and social media campaigns by a minority of U.S.-financed counter-revolutionaries, while U.S. President Joe Biden said he stood with the Cuban people.
The streets of Havana were quiet on Monday, although there was a heavy police presence. Outages in mobile internet – the only way many Cubans have of accessing the web – were frequent.
Chanting “freedom” and calling for President Miguel Diaz-Canel to step down, thousands of Cubans joined street protests from Havana to Santiago on Sunday in the biggest anti-government demonstrations on the Communist-run island in decades.
At least 80 protesters, activists, and independent journalists had been detained nationwide since Sunday, according to exiled rights group Cubalex.
“It’s becoming impossible to live here,” said Havana resident Maykel, 21, who declined to give his surname for fear of retaliation. “I don’t know if this can happen again, because at the moment, Havana is militarized.”
“Still, Cubans are losing their fear,” he said.

I personally spoke to some of the leaders of Cuba's dissident movement just weeks ago. The mainstream media and Biden WH line that this liberty movement is solely about lack of vaccines and US sanctions is a total lie. It is about the evil repression of a communist tyranny.

The Biden Admin is totally deranged on #Cuba policy.

This isn’t some pesky protest over COVID vaccines. This is about opposing a brutal communist regime, freeing political prisoners, and demanding free elections.
If you can’t make that distinction, you are very bad at your job. https://t.co/pjWzLpEbpY
Cubans waving American flags. This is what our nation represents to the world. It is beautiful. Biden now is the time to help the Cuban people. #Cuba. @MarcoRubio @TedCruz. pic.twitter.com/9CpZbaMJbT
