Barack Obama Rips Ilhan Omar Over Defund Police, Omar Fires Back At Barack: “It’s not a slogan but a policy demand”
Barack Obama ripped Ilhan Omar and the Squad’s disastrous defund the police slogan that most probably will cost the Dem Party the next three election cycles as it will not be easy to shake.
What all now consider the dumbest political slogan in history (defund the police) had ts unpopularity hidden by bad polling.
“I guess you can use a snappy slogan like ‘defund the police’ but, you know, you lost a big audience the minute you say it,” Obama said.
“Which makes it a lot less likely that you’re actually going to get the changes you want done.”
“The key is deciding, do you want to actually get something done,” the former president said.
“Or do you want to feel good among the people you already agree with?”
“And if you want to get something done in a democracy, in a country as big and diverse as ours, then you’ve got to be able to meet people where they are.”
Enter Ilhan Omar who is not happy to he the captain of the Dem Titanic but history will remember her as such:
“We lose people in the hands of police,” Omar wrote.
“It’s not a slogan but a policy demand.”
