Queen Elizabeth Snubs Kim Kardashian As Buckingham Palace Rejects Request To Attend Platinum Jubilee Celebrations: Report
Reality television star Kim Kardashian reportedly got snubbed by Queen Elizabeth and officials at Buckingham Palace who rejected requests to attend Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Reps for Kim have denied the report.
Representatives for Kim who is in the UK with her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, asked for tickets but according to The Daily Mail, the Palace turned down the Americans as did publicists at the BBC. Ouch, that is a double snub.
A source told the Mail that Kim is undeterred and is trying to acquire the hard to get tickets by other means. The source said: “Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn’t visit the UK often.
“Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration.”
According to The Mail, “The likes of Queen, Diana Ross and Nile Rodgers will perform at the event, while Sir David Attenborough and David Beckham will make appearances.
“Some 10,000 tickets were allocated via a public ballot, and 7,500 have been given to key workers, those in the Armed Forces, volunteers and charities.”
According to the New York Post:
“The Queen’s birthday parade was the hottest ticket in town … But they were turned down as all the tickets had gone to family members of servicemen and military VIPs,” said the insider, whom The Sun described as “an impeccably-placed source.”
“There are some tickets you just can’t buy,” the source said, insisting that the royal family does not “need American reality TV stars.”
“The biggest celebrities in the world are already there — the British Royal Family,” the insider said.
From NBC:
Sunday is the centerpiece: A four-act “Jubilee Pageant” at Buckingham Palace, including a military parade, a celebrity-packed carnival celebrating British cultural and technological innovation during the queen’s reign, and a pack of puppet corgis created in the image of the queen’s famous pets.
