Hours After Pelosi’s Husband Gets Arrested – Nancy’s Office Responds by Claiming She Was “On the East Coast” During His DUI
Something embarrassing happened to the Pelosi family over the weekend. House Speaker Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was arrested on DUI charges.

Paul Pelosi, the 82-year-old husband of U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, was arrested this weekend on suspicion of DUI in Northern California, police records showed Sunday.
Paul Pelosi was taken into custody late Saturday in Napa County north of San Francisco, according to a sheriff’s office online booking report.
Oops. Looks like Paul had a bit too much of that Napa Valley wine. While this is troubling news, it’s not the end of the world.
In moments like this, you’d expect a wife to stay by her husband. But not old Nance!

Ouch. So much for “stand by your man,” eh Pelosi? As Paul Pelosi is being booked by cops for a possible DUI charge, Nance is getting as far away as possible.
She is even saying, in no uncertain terms, that she was “on the East Coast” during this event.
That is essentially Pelosi throwing her husband under the proverbial bus. That’s like saying, “Hey, don’t get mad at me. I wasn’t even there.”
“In fact, I was waaaaaaay over on the other side of the country!”
This statement suggests Pelosi is more concerned for her reputation than her husband’s well-being. Instead of being concerned for Paul, and letting supporters know he’ll be alright, she is protecting her own image.
I’m no marriage counselor, but that’s not something a loyal wife normally does. You can admit that Paul was wrong for the DUI (should he be convicted).
But at the very least tell your supporters she still supports and loves him.
This non-statement is as cold as you get. It might be a window into their actual relationship.
Imagine the call between them, after the arrest. I doubt it was pleasant.
