John Kerry Slammed with New Investigation – GOP Demands the Former Presidential Candidate to “Fork Over” China Docs
John Kerry has been a hero of the left for years, due to his relentless push to keep climate change in the public eye.
At the same time, he’s also been heavily criticized by Republicans, especially in regards to his apparent hypocrisy (like flying around the world in heavily-polluting private jets).
But now, the GOP-led House is finally launching an investigation into the activities of this “climate czar.”
As a report at The Daily Wire indicates, it remains true that nobody knows just how much taxpayer money goes toward Kerry’s pet project. And there have been serious questions about his cozying up to China.
Ironically, China is one of the biggest polluters on the planet – if not the absolute biggest – and yet, he lectures America and other countries about how evil they are.
But Republicans want to know a lot more about Kerry’s behind-the-scenes numbers and behavior:
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent the Heinz-ketchup-heiress hubby a letter on Thursday, demanding that he fork over information and documents regarding his office in general, and with a keen focus on his dealings with the CCP, according to Fox News.
‘We are left with an insufficient understanding of your office’s activities, spending, and staffing,’ Comer claimed in the letter, while adding that more information was needed in order to ‘enable long overdue oversight of your office.’
They really want to know more about how Kerry spends his millions and furthermore, they demand answers concerning his relationship with China.
While Kerry says climate change is a top priority, it seems China just ignores him completely. In fact, they’ve since ramped up coal production in a big way.
On top of that, there are the serious human rights issues: certain stories coming from China during the pandemic shocked the world, for example. And yet, people like Kerry say nothing.
As Comer poignantly noted, Kerry has downplayed the CCP’s tyranny ‘while promoting climate negotiations that the CCP does not even appear interested in entering.’
Comer added in the letter that Kerry “should be representing the United States’ interests.” But instead, he shows “disregard for American national security and taxpayer dollars.”
Lastly, Comer reminded him that China is responsible for 27 percent of all carbon emissions on the planet.
Obviously, it isn’t likely that Kerry’s office will respond to Comer’s letter, but at least it shows that Republicans are finally taking action. It’s possible they’ll follow this up with more legal pushes.
While many Americans struggle financially, extremely wealthy and privileged people like John Kerry are yelling at us for polluting the planet.
At the same time, they’re taking advantage of many of the most polluting vehicles in the world, while simultaneously giving the biggest polluting countries – and our enemies – a total pass.
