Houston Man Shoots Armed Robber Dead, Returns Stolen Money To All Victims
A customer at Houston Taqueria had enough of the out-of-control crime in this country and shot and killed a man who robbed him and the restaurant’s customers late Thursday night in Southwest Houston.
According to Houston police, an armed man wearing a mask entered the restaurant and demanded money and wallets from the customers. In the video below, you can see the gunman approach each customer pointing his gun in their faces and demanding their money and property.
Some customers scrambled for cover while others threw up their hands afraid the robber would open fire. Some customers can be seen throwing money at the armed robber, while others place their wallets and cell phones on the table which the robber snatches in quick, greedy motions.
You can see the hero customer get ready to make a move a few times too at the bottom of the screen before calmly waiting for the right moment to end the robber’s night.
After collecting money from the customers, the robber made his way to the door and turned his back on the hero customer who was armed and waiting.
Big mistake.
The customer shot the robber dead and then collected all the stolen money and handed it back to the stunned victims.
“The robbery suspect he came into the store and was wearing masks and gloves,” HPD Lt. Wilkens said.
“He had a plastic pistol possibly an aero soft or possibly a little BB pistol.”
According to ABC:
“It happened at The Ranchito #4 on S. Gessner and Bellaire at about 11:30 p.m.
“About 10 customers were inside eating when the masked robber walked in and pointed a gun at them as he began taking their wallets and cellphones, said HPD Lt. R. Willkens.”
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Arrington, C. Duncan and Detectives S. Overstreet and L. Lovelace reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the restaurant at the above address and observed an unknown black male in all black clothing, a black ski mask, and black gloves had been shot multiple times inside the business.
Paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Witnesses told officers the suspect entered the restaurant and pointed a pistol at patrons as he demanded their money.
As the suspect collected money from patrons, one of the patrons, described as a white or Hispanic male, produced a gun of his own and shot the suspect multiple times.
The shooter collected the stolen money from the suspect and returned the money to other patrons. He and other patrons (victims) then fled the scene.
UPDATE: Surveillance photos of the male (and his vehicle) wanted for questioning in this fatal shooting of a robbery suspect last night (Jan. 5).
