In a few days, the new Congress will begin. And that means Republicans in control of the House of Representatives. Chances are, they will vote to make Kevin McCarthy the next Speaker. Pelosi’s rein of reckless spending and radical policy is over. But how will Republicans hold Joe Biden’s failed presidency in check?
We know that Republicans will head powerful committees. Many of them have already promised investigations into the Biden administration, as well as the FBI. But McCarthy has put one important issue at the very top of the list. And he is making it his business to strike a blow for every hard-working American.

First up, according to the California Republican, after electing the Speaker of the House was to repeal the 87,000 IRS agents provision passed by Congress earlier this year…
“Then, on the very first day, the first thing we’re going to do is repeal the 87,000 IRS agents,” McCarthy continued. “Another reason why the Democrats are mad at me, I think – government should be here to help you, not to go after you, then we’re going to secure our border.”
Potential future House Speaker Kevin McCarthy promised to repeal the 87,000 IRS agents Biden and Democrats voted to hire in one of 2022’s spending bills. Democrats claimed they needed that shocking number of new bloodsuckers–I mean tax collectors–to go after billionaires.
Nobody was buying that. Republican lawmakers sounded the alarm, stating that these new agents were needed so Biden can nickel and dime every last hard-working, blue-collar and middle-class American. They even wanted to audit you over $600 transactions for crying out loud!
McCarthy vowed to repeal this move as the top order of business. After that, Americans can count on the promised investigations against the Biden administration. McCarthy also vowed to protect our border, which Biden has allowed to descend into chaos.
There is plenty House Republicans need to do to make sure Biden no longer destroys the country. They’ll need to force Congress to pass measures that end Biden’s “tax-and-spend” agenda. They need to roll back his decisions to shut down American drilling.
And so much more. Biden’s “build back” plan seems to have only helped rich liberals and special interest groups (not to mention foreign nations). Republicans will have to fight hard to end Joe’s bait-and-switch agenda.
