McConnell Turns Against Republicans – Mitch Just Got 22 to Join Him to Help Biden’s Liberals Pass Spending
What’s Happening:
Not that long ago, former President Trump criticized Mitch McConnell for giving Democrats way too much during negotiations. The Senate Minority Leader had Democrats by the chin hairs. He had the power to demand plenty, yet he folded and gave the left everything they wanted.
Once again, Mitch is in a special position. The government needs to pass a funding bill or everything shuts down (not that we’re worried about it). McConnell can hold out, waiting until next year when Republicans take over the House. Then, Republicans can cut back on Biden’s massive spending spree, lower the tax burden on Americans, and maybe address this inflation.
Oh, no wait–Mitch just caved to the left again!
From The Western Journal:
Senate Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell joined with 21 other Republican senators Thursday to pass a continuing resolution to fund the federal government for another week in hopes that a longer-term spending deal can be finalized in that time…
“They’re trying to jam us right before Christmas. Why would you ever move forward when there’s a change in power in 21 days where Republicans would have a stronger hand?” McCarthy told Sean Hannity on Tuesday, The Hill noted. “We wouldn’t be talking about adding more money. We’d talk about decreasing.”
Why the heck are people still supporting this goon McConnell? The folks back home should have censured this clown by now.
McConnell betrayed Americans and the GOP by supporting a continuing resolution to keep the government funded. All so Democrats can quickly rush through a bloated spending bill before the year ends.
The Senate Minority Leader did this, even though Republicans would be able to push back against Biden next year and come up with a much better spending plan. Inflation is raging. Recession is poised to hurt millions. And Biden jacked up taxes in the new year.
Why would McConnell agree to this, and force 21 Republicans to support it, when he had the power to stop it?
This is why many conservatives hate Mitch McConnell. Texas’s Chip Roy blasted McConnell saying this was dereliction of duty. Kevin McCarthy was dumbfounded at McConnell’s decision. From all appearances, everything McConnell has done since 2020 has been to the benefit of Democrats.
Is he just that bad at negotiating or does he really hate his party? Few people will think McConnell is a true Republican after this. Just another swamp RINO, doing what’s best for himself.
Key Takeaways:
- Mitch McConnell got 21 Senate Republicans to pass Democrats’ short-term funding bill.
- Republicans blasted McConnell for doing something that helps the Democrats’ bloated spending spree.
- McConnell could have waited until the new year when Republicans had more power.
