Trump Puts Liz Cheney On Notice, Wins CPAC 2024 GOP Presidential Nomination Straw Poll
Former President Donald Trump dropped a huge hint he is running again this weekend before winning the straw poll at CPAC, a key early indicator of who has the inside track on the GOP nomination in 2024.
You can’t win a primary with support from the base, something Liz Cheney is going to find out the hard way in Wyoming. Trump won 59 percent support from attendees when asked their preference of potential 2024 presidential candidates. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis got 28 percent support.
The other candidates got minimal support. “So much for him fading,” pollster Jim McLaughlin said. If Trump does not run, DeSantis was the clear choice of the attendees with 61 percent. Mike Pompeo got 6 percent and Donald Trump Jr got 6 percent.
If Trump runs:
DONALD TRUMP 59.1
RON DeSANTIS 28.4

President Trump continues to grow the conservative MAGA movement, which includes growing his political dominance. What a great conference—the MAGA wave is going to crash over 2022 in historic fashion. https://t.co/HIbhJkCZeF
