James Woods Drops Hammer On Scandal-Plagued CNN: “Dear Lord, what a cesspool

Sharing is caring!

Hollywood conservative James Woods dropped the hammer on scandal-plagued CNN reminding the shell-shocked network stars that the Jeff Zucker scandal is just one of many they are facing. Woods went on to list the main scandals but left out a few that need mentioning.

Woods said: “Griffin, Cuomo, Toobin, Lemon, and now Zucker. Dear Lord, what a cesspool.”

No argument there but Woods left off the two CNN producers under fire for allegedly committing sex crimes with children. One CNN producer has been arrested for his crimes while another is under investigation and surrendered his electronic devices to authorities. Cesspool indeed.

Former President Donald Trump said: “Jeff Zucker, a world-class sleazebag who has headed ratings and real-news-challenged CNN for far too long, has been terminated for numerous reasons, but predominantly because CNN has lost its way with viewers and everybody else.

“Now is a chance to put Fake News in the backseat because there may not be anything more important than straightening out the horrendous LameStream Media in our Country, and in the case of CNN, throughout the World. Jeff Zucker is gone—congratulations to all!”

Megyn Kelly also had some comments CNN staffers should pay attention to warning them the Jeff Zucker scandal will get worse.

She said: “To those confused re: why J. Zucker’s affair w/an employee is a big deal: let’s imagine that it actually began earlier than they say. That he was sleeping w/her while promoting her up the ranks over other qualified folks. That he made her an EVP w/o disclosing any of it. Problem?

“Zucker’s relationship with Gollust went on for years, and what he did to keep her near him (as he kept advancing her up the line) will be even more stunning to the CNN newsroom.”

Zucker said when he resigned: “As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years.

“I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.

In an email to staffers sent shortly after Zucker’s, Jason Kilar, the CEO of CNN parent WarnerMedia, said:

“I have accepted Jeff Zucker’s resignation as Chairman of WarnerMedia News and Sports, and President of CNN Worldwide. We thank Jeff for his contributions over the past 9 years.”

Kilar added, “We will be announcing an interim leadership plan shortly.  Both of these organizations are at the top of their respective games and are well prepared for their next chapters.”

Zucker’s relationship is with Allison Gollust. In a statement, Gollust said:

“Jeff and I have been close friends and professional partners for over 20 years.

“Recently, our relationship changed during Covid.

“I regret that we didn’t disclose it at the right time. I’m incredibly proud of my time at CNN and look forward to continuing the great work we do everyday,” Gollust said.
