Hours After Pelosi Rushes To Jam Through Biden’s Bills – The Vote Runs Into The Brick Wall Of The CBO
With Democrats losing big this election week, many in the party are fearing what’s to come. Every day seems to bring more bad news, as Biden’s agenda wreaks havoc across the country. So, it comes at an odd time for Pelosi to be trying to ram his spending bill—which has been logjammed for months—through.

House Democrats will vote Friday on President Biden’s sweeping social spending and infrastructure bills that have a combined price tag of nearly $3 trillion — in what will be the biggest day of Biden’s presidency so far.
Pelosi seems to want to get this done as soon as possible. That’s because Biden could do something even worse tomorrow, ensuring even fewer people support him. But just as she tried to ram these socialist spending bills through, more Democrats could be bringing them to halt.

The demands from a handful of centrist lawmakers for a full Congressional Budget Office (CBO) analysis of the social spending package are jeopardizing House Democratic leaders’ plans to hold a vote Friday on the legislation.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) acknowledged that a CBO score on the bill — which spans more than 2,000 pages — would not be ready on Friday.
Pelosi had planned a vote on both of Biden’s massive spending bills this Friday. But moderate lawmakers refuse to vote on these huge bills, without the CBO’s analysis of how much it will cost. And they admitted they won’t be able to produce the 2,000-page report by the end of the week.
This is pretty shocking. Democrats have been pushing these bills for months now. Do you mean to tell me they couldn’t have had this report ready by now? I guess they thought they’d just vote on these bills and see what’s in them later. Pelosi’s pretty fond of that kind of “leadership.”
The demand for the CBO report could freeze her attempts to hold a vote. But Pelosi, hell-bent on getting her way, might force it through anyway. That could force moderate Democrats to vote these bills down, a massive defeat for Joe Biden.
But any more delays could ensure a vote never comes. The House has been waffling over Biden’s spending bills. Moderates want one thing, progressives want another. Pelosi is not the kind of person that can forge a compromise. So, if this vote doesn’t happen today, it might never.
Not that this will even score a big victory for Biden if they do. Even if the House votes on their bloated spending bill, it has little chance of passing in the Senate. Biden has yet to secure the support of either Joe Manchin or Krysten Sinema. Even if the House manages to vote, Biden still could be dead in the water.
And after their devastating losses this week, more Democrats could be unwilling to back anything Biden wants.
