Kamala Harris Taken To Walter Reed Hospital Days After Meeting With Infected Dems For “Routine Doctor’s Appointment”
Vice President Kamala Harris went to Walter Reed Medical Center Sunday the White House confirmed for a “routine doctor’s appointment.”
Walter Reed is in Bethesda, Maryland. The visit comes just days after Harris met with Texas Democratic lawmakers who fled their state to try to block a new voting bill from passing.
The Dems lawmakers were total showboats posing for absurd pictures with cold beers from private jets as the media tried in vain to make them freedom fighters, not pampered politicians pulling a stunt to raise their profiles and bring in the campaign cash.
The trip backfired in more ways than just optics when three of the Democrats tested positive for coronavirus. One tested positive Friday night. Two tested positive Saturday morning.
Harris spokesperson Symone Sanders said:
“Based on the timeline of these positive tests, it was determined the Vice President and her staff present at the meeting were not at risk of exposure because they were not in close contact with those who tested positive and therefore do not need to be tested or quarantined,” Sanders said in a statement, adding that Harris and her staff have been fully vaccinated.
“The House Democratic Caucus is following all CDC guidance and protocols. This is a sober reminder that COVID is still with us, and though vaccinations offer tremendous protection, we still must take necessary precautions,” Caucus Chairman Chris Turner said.
