Mo Brooks Shuts Down Jim Acosta On DC Street: “I do not do interviews with CNN because I do not trust CNN to be honorable or truthful”
CNN’s Jim Acosta has gone all tabloid journalism and is now doing ambush interviews on the streets of Washington D.C. Acosta is roaming the streets and when he sees a lawmaker who won’t come on CNN to talk to him, he rolls the cameras and tries to get his interview right there.
But when Acosta saw Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Al.) he had no idea what was about to hit him. Brooks shut down Acosta saying he simply did not trust CNN to be fair to him. Smart move Mo.
“Congressman, is there any way we can get you to talk about Jan. 6,” Acosta said. “I do not do interviews with CNN because I do not trust CNN to be honorable or truthful,” the Republican responded showing the CNN reporter his back.
Acosta asked Brooks if he believed “Antifa was behind Jan. 6,” but Brooks didn’t take the bait and answered: “I’ve already said what I’m going to say. I don’t trust ya’ll to be truthful or honest.”
Acosta continued his line of questioning pressed while Brooks repeated that CNN is not an option over a trust factor.
“I’m just asking you questions. I’m asking you fair questions, sir, why can’t you answer the question,” Acosta said.
“See ya,” Brooks said as he rode away on his bike. “You guys will lie through your teeth any chance you get.”
“I’ll give ya the chance to come on if you don’t mind,” said Acosta.
Coming up later this hour… we tried to speak to GOP House members about their bogus January 6th conspiracy theories. Congressman Mo Brooks would not comment and rode off on his bicycle… pic.twitter.com/LMSedEhUDi

Acosta: Where’s the proof that the FBI was involved? Where’s the proof that Antifa was involved? Don’t you owe it to people to produce that proof?

Greene: I don’t owe it. I didn’t cause the riot. pic.twitter.com/2AlX4n9Zs3
In what we hope to be the first in a series of interviews pressing lawmakers on 1/6…

GOP congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene could not back up her claim that the FBI was somehow behind the Capitol attack. We pressed her repeatedly and she offered zero evidence. That’s next. pic.twitter.com/kQchPaKPzS
