New Photo Sinks Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer, Busts Her Violating Own Virus Rules At Bar Forcing Apology
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s political career may have taken a fatal blow when a photo surfaced of her at a bar breaking her own virus rules. The Dems have simply not been flexible enough with the virus – new information should lead to new rules and common sense based on science must overrule power and politics. They better wise up quickly because all the public sees is the Dem Party leaders publicly breaking their own rules all across the country.
It is a true disgrace. Gavin Newsom – busted. Pritzker and Lightfoot – busted. New York Gov and his shady family favors – busted. And Michigan Governor Gretchen Witmer busted not once but twice.
Witmer was just hit with a recent ethics complaint after taking a private jet to Florida while telling residents not to leave the state and now she is apologizing after getting busted at a bar breaking her own rules.
“Throughout the pandemic, I’ve been committed to following public health protocols,” Whitmer said in a Sunday statement.
“Yesterday, I went with friends to a local restaurant. As more people arrived, the tables were pushed together. Because we were all vaccinated, we didn’t stop to think about it. In retrospect, I should have thought about it. I am human. I made a mistake, and I apologize.”
The photo, which shows Whitmer seated with about a dozen people at no fewer than three tables that had been pushed together, was posted on social media by one of the attendees, but later deleted.
Michigan restaurants and bars are still subject to capacity limits and social distancing requirements.
Current orders require six people or fewer at tables and distances of six feet between tables.
Whitmer received her second vaccination dose April 29, meaning she is considered fully vaccinated.
Tori Sachs, executive director of the Michigan Freedom Fund, in a post on Twitter accused Whitmer of hypocrisy.
“Capacity limits, patrons per table limits, curfews & other ridiculous restrictions need to end immediately,” Sachs said. “She isn’t even abiding by those rules.
“A year after the boat episode & Whitmer and those around her still don’t think their Covid rules apply to them.”

Gatherings are prohibited at food service establishments, whether indoor or outdoor, unless:
Consumption of food or beverages is permitted only in a designated dining area where patrons are seated, groups of patrons are separated by at least 6 feet, no more than 6 patrons are seated together (at a table, booth, or group of fixed seats), and groups of patrons do not intermingle
While Whitmer’s group did not wear masks, a bouncer at the Landshark — a dive bar in the college town — could be seen with his face covered.
“Last week Whitmer refused to immediately end her ridiculous restrictions, like a maximum of 6 patrons per table for indoor dining,” Tori Sachs, executive director of Michigan Freedom Fund, told Breitbart News.
“Now Whitmer has once again completely disregarded her own rules. Whitmer orders rules she and her staff don’t follow themselves while Michiganders and businesses suffer. Whitmer must end her restrictions immediately.”
