Bill Barr Breaks Silence, Pushes Back At Trump In Report: “Cannot be intimidated by Trump, it’s the deposed king ranting”
James Comey’s disastrous tenure as a government official has come back to haunt Bill Barr. After the Comey led fiasco, Barr promised he would hold fast to the Justice Department’s rule about not revealing information too close to an election.
Comey set such a bad precedent that Trump is mad Barr kept the Hunter Biden story secret until after the election. Would it have mattered? Who knows?
Some of the stuff was public knowledge – some of his business partners got caught up in a fraud scheme – Hunter reportedly was not involved.
We don’t know if these investigations are leftover from that or if they are due to new information. Either way, Barr couldn’t win so he did what the left said he would never and followed the rules.
Trump has been ramping up the pressure and now we have a new report from a CNN reporter claiming that Barr is pushing back saying he will not be intimidated.
“Barr cannot be intimidated by Trump,” a source told CNN.
“This is the real story. None of this matters — it’s the deposed king ranting. Irrelevant to the course of justice and to Trump’s election loss,” the source added.

Trump lashed out at Barr on Twitter Saturday morning demanding to know why he didn’t reveal the investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son before the election and retweeting a post calling for the firing of the DOJ’s top boss.
His fury came after it emerged on Wednesday that the Justice Department had been investigating Hunter Biden over his business dealings and taxes leading up to the election but did not make the probe public.
Barr ‘cannot be intimidated by Trump’ and has dismissed the president’s outbursts over the probe as ‘the deposed king ranting,’ the source told CNN Saturday after Trump’s Twitter rampage.
‘Irrelevant to the course of justice and to Trump’s election loss.’
The DOJ boss ‘is not someone who takes bullying and turns the other cheek’, they added.
Despite the growing rift between the two men – who were once staunch allies – Barr plans to stay on in his role until Trump leaves the White House and is likely to only quit if he thinks Trump is about to fire him, according to the insider.
The source added that tensions are currently so high between the two men that it is like ‘a Cold War.’

Barr has decided, for the moment, to stay on until the end of Trump’s term unless he thinks the President is going to fire him, according to a source familiar with the dynamic between the two men, who Friday described a serious breakdown in communication, saying the “relationship is a Cold War.”

Trump and Barr had a “contentious,” lengthy meeting inside the West Wing last week, according to a person familiar with the meeting.
