Trump Breaks Silence, Vows To Keep Fighting: “Beginning Monday our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court”
The news media called the presidential election for Joe Biden today as the final vote tallies were not enough for Trump to catch up.
There will be automatic recounts in some locations and there may very well be manual hand ballot recounts in others.
Trump issued a statement shortly after the election was called and vowed to keep fighting.
Trump said, “We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed.
“The simple fact is this election is far from over.
“Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor.”
Trump continued and vowed to take the fight to the courts,
“Legal votes decide who is president, not the news media,” Trump added.
“Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated.”
“The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots.”
“This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election,” Trump added.
The Supreme Court has already been involved and they should expect other cases. From Breitbart:
The United States Supreme Court has ordered Pennsylvania election boards to separate the count of mail-in ballots that arrived Election Day.
The order, which was signed by Justice Samuel Alito, suggests that the justices may exclude the late-arriving ballots in a subsequent ruling involving the results of the presidential election.
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump was leading Joe Biden by hundreds of thousands of votes in Pennsylvania. But on Thursday, the president’s lead dwindled to less than 50,000 as ballots continued to be counted.
The Trump campaign and other Republicans have since filed several lawsuits related to the ballots, questioning the validity of deadlines.
The Pennsylvania Republican Party had requested an emergency order from the Supreme Court after it was unable to get at least 25 of the county boards to confirm they were placing the ballots in a secure, sealed container and that they have been counting them separately.
Justice Alito agreed, signing his order on Friday.
