Hillary Clinton Might Not Escape This Time – Declassified Docs From Brennan Suggest She Went After Trump
Hillary Clinton may not be running for office in 2020, but she might still have to face some extremely difficult questions. Her role in the Trump/Russia fiasco has yet to be 100 percent clarified.
That’s what several leaders on Capitol Hill are trying to accomplish, though — they’re attempting to confirm Clinton’s alleged coordinated “plan” to pin a Russian connection on Donald Trump.
And they’ve just taken another step in that direction.
This week, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified documents that might prove problematic for Clinton.
Ratcliffe specifically declassified handwritten notes by former CIA Director John Brennan. They show that Brennan briefed former President Obama on Clinton’s anti-Trump idea.
Evidently, the plan was to use Russia as “a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email service” prior to the 2016 election.
From Fox News:
Ratcliffe declassified Brennan’s handwritten notes – which were taken after he briefed Obama on the intelligence the CIA received – and a CIA memo, which revealed that officials referred the matter to the FBI for potential investigative action.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence transmitted the declassified documents to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees on Tuesday afternoon.
President Trump urged Ratcliffe to declassify all documents relating to the matter. Now those documents are headed to Congressional oversight and “investigative activities.”
There are several potentially incriminating statements in Brennan’s notes.
Perhaps the most obvious is the following:
We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED].
CITE [summarizing] alleged approved by Hillary Clinton a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security service.
The notes further mention “any evidence of collaboration between Trump campaign + Russia,” and there was allegedly a reference to “POTUS” in the margin. But the latter was redacted.
On top of which, Brennan’s notes cite the names, “JC,” “Denis,” and “Susan.”
JC could be then-FBI director James Comey, Susan might refer to National Security Adviser Susan Rice, and Denis is expected to be Obama chief of staff Denis McDonough.
Right now, it certainly looks like Hillary Clinton may have known about, and perhaps approved, the plan to tie Donald Trump to Russia.
She certainly had a motive for doing so, as her private email server scandal was making headlines at the time. And it makes sense that she’d want to deflect some of that negative coverage.
Many Republican leaders – Trump included – have often said Clinton and other top Democrats were responsible for the Russia collusion theory.
Now they just might have the evidence they need to prove their accusations.
Key Takeaways:
- Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has declassified documents that could prove damaging to Hillary Clinton.
- The documents include handwritten notes by former CIA Director John Brennan. These indicate that Clinton may have pushed a Trump/Russia collusion theory.
- This evidence is on its way to Congressional oversight and “investigative activities” may ensue.
