Trump Makes His Move, Overrules Dem Governors: “It’s the decision of the President”
President Trump put the media in its place today and overruled the Dem Governors of certain states by taking charge of the decision to reopen the economy.
The media tries to create conflict because conflict sells, as Trump knows better than most so he is correct in calling the media out.
And by reminding them who is boss – Trump has great control over the decision to reopen and when.
It is not all up to him as the states also have some power here and some is in the private sector – they won’t reopen if they think they will get sued.
For that reason, Trump is talking to all sides – governors, CEOs, etc. to find a consensus.
But with most things there will be conflicting views and ultimately it will be Trump’s call.
Rather than try to divide, why not help Trump make the right decision, there is a lot riding on this?
“For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government,” Trump said.
“Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect,” he added.
“It is the decision of the President, and for many good reasons.”
“With that being said, the Administration and I are working closely with the Governors, and this will continue.”
“A decision by me, in conjunction with the Governors and input from others, will be made shortly!”
