Trump Gets Last Laugh After Adam Schiff Embarrassed Himself Trying To Defend FISA On Fox News Today

Sharing is caring!

Today was an embarrassing day for Adam Schiff and James Comey. They spent three years leaking and lying to the American people to stop Trump.

The IG report laid bare their treachery. Look, what they did cannot stand. They attempted to subvert the will of the people.

So today they got humiliated and had to do the walk of shame on the Sunday shows. Comey looked queasy and likely to vomit while Schiff just looked arrogant and actually tried to defend the scandal. He failed and looked uncomfortable doing it.

As usual, Trump got the last laugh:

“Schiff’s correcting the record memo has turned out to be totally wrong (based on the I.G. Report)! A very big lie. @MariaBartiromo And @DevinNunes has turned out to be completely right. Congratulations to Devin. The Fake News Media should apologize to all!

From Mediaite:

Wallace also brought up the IG report and said, “You defended the FBI’s use of FISA warrants to surveil Carter Page in a lengthy memo.”

He showed video of Schiff saying in February 2018, “It’s important for the public to see the facts that the FBI acted appropriately in seeking a warrant on Carter Page. They are not part of some deep state, as the president apparently would like the public to believe.”

Wallace noted the serious errors in the FISA process found by IG Michael Horowitz and asked, “Do you still think that the FBI acted appropriately as you said there?”

“I think this is consistent with the IG report,” Schiff said, “that they were right to seek a FISA on Carter Page and there wasn’t some deep state conspiracy. There was no spying on the Trump campaign, there was no effort to, based on political bias, open the investigation, it was properly predicated. But there were nonetheless serious abuses of FISA, which were not apparent two years ago, but which have become apparent now with 170 witnesses interviewed and 2 million documents were viewed by the IG.”

From The Daily Caller:

During a March 20, 2017, congressional hearing, Schiff read out dossier author Christopher Steele’s allegations that Page worked at the direction of Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort as part of the Russia conspiracy. He also cited the dossier’s allegations that Page met secretly with a Kremlin insider in July 2016 to discuss a bribe in exchange for a future Trump administration relaxing sanctions on Russia.

Schiff defended the FBI and Christopher Steele’s findings in a memo released Feb. 24, 2018, that rebutted a House Republican memo that accused the FBI of withholding information in its FISA applications.

“FBI and DOJ officials did not ‘abuse’ the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) process, omit material information, or subvert this vital tool to spy on the Trump campaign,” the so-called “Schiff memo” said.
